Graduation checklist

On this page you'll find:

What you need to do

The next set of graduation ceremonies will take place from 9 to 12 December 2025. Use the checklist below to make sure you're ready to celebrate your big day.

If you plan to defer or can't attend, you must still register your graduation choice. If you don't register a choice and are eligible to graduate, you'll automatically graduate in absentia and receive your certificate by post or collect it in person following the winter ceremonies.

1. Check your ceremony date and time

Each school and department has a specific ceremony date and time, so make sure you check when yours is and make a note of the date.

2. Clear any debts

If you have any outstanding debt owing to the university, you will not be able to graduate and will automatically be deferred. Please review the finance tab in NottinghamHub if you are unsure. You have until 5pm on Monday 24 November to clear any debts.

See our terms and conditions for more details.

Whether you're planning to attend, defer or not attend, you must complete the registration form on NottinghamHub by 12 noon on Friday 14 November to let us know your decision. For more information, visit our registration webpage.

4. Create your Ede and Ravenscroft account
