BUCS Super Rugby

Welcome to the home of the University of Nottingham Men's BUCS Super Rugby team. Over the course of the season we will be bringing you the latest news, fixtures and live matches taking you closer to the action.

BUCS Super Rugby consists of 18 rounds. Upon the completion of the league season, the top eight teams will battle it out in knock-out Championship competition, with the final held in April 2025 to crown a champion.

League and Vase winners in 2021/22, University of Nottingham entered as the latest addition to BUCS Super Rugby in 2022/23, but defied the odds to reach the play-offs in our first years in the league. In 2024/25, UNRUC will be looking to firmly cement their place as a BSR programme.

The University of Nottingham Men's Rugby Union Club is one of largest student led rugby clubs in the country, and one of the most prestigious and popular sports clubs at Nottingham. The Club enjoys a national reputation for rugby, attracting performance rugby players who want to balance their continued rugby development with studying at one of the UK's top Universities.

The Men’s Rugby Union Club continues to grow and develop, and has a clear and strong vision to deliver a performance rugby programme of the highest calibre. The coaching team is headed up by Paul Westgate an England Rugby Level 5 Coach.

Matchday

Our home matches are predominantly played at our home venue in Nottingham at Highfields Sports Complex. We also have a close partnership with Nottingham Rugby and some fixtures are played within the Nottinghamshire Sports Club at Lady Bay.

Getting to Highfields

Highfields Sports Complex is located on the South Westerly side of the main University Park campus and can be easily accessed via  University Boulevard (use postcode NG7 2PS).

Download a copy of the campus map here and you'll find us at location number 47. Parking is available free of charge in marked spaces and our event car park. Blue badge parking can be found in front of the Vaughan Parry Williams pavillion.

You can also find details of how to get here by car, bus or tram here. Our nearest park and ride is Toton Lane and you hop off at the University Boulevard stop.
